Who we are

What we collect, and why

If you talk to us through the contact page, we receive what you write, your email address, and your company if you give it. If you arrived from the calculator, the numbers you set travel with you. That is the whole of it: we do not ask for a phone number, a job title or anything we do not need to reply.

We use it for one purpose, which is to answer you about Fairown programmes. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started. There is no consent box because there is nothing here we would do without your asking first, and you can object to the processing at any time using the address below.

We read your company’s website, not you

When you give us a work email, we look at the public website on that domain, so you do not have to spend the first meeting explaining what your company does. It is the company we look at and nothing else: we do not build a profile of you, search for you by name, or buy data about you from anyone.

Who else touches it

Two processors, both under contract and both acting only on our instructions. Google Ireland Ltd. stores it, because the enquiry arrives as email in Google Workspace. Anthropic processes the text you write, because the contact page uses their AI to read what you said and ask a sensible next question rather than a generic one. Your text is not used to train anyone’s model.

How long we keep it

Up to 24 months after our last contact, then it is deleted. That is longer than it sounds and shorter than it could be: a bank or telco decision can run past a year, and keeping the thread means you do not start from scratch if you come back. Deletion runs automatically rather than depending on somebody remembering.

Analytics, without cookies

We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores no personal data: no identifiers, no cross-site tracking, EU-hosted. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to processing, by writing to legal@fairown.com. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or your local supervisory authority.

Programmes are a separate thing

Fairown programmes you join through a partner are governed by their own agreements and privacy terms, with the partner bank and merchant named in them. This page covers fairown.com only.
